This “Scattering Moment” captures an actual Eternal Legacy Service memorial conducted in Denali National Park in September 2025. It provides an example of how individual memorials during the 63 National Parks Memorial Journey will be documented for the family in the parks where ash scattering is permitted.
For most families, a final resting place is a single location.
The 63 National Parks Memorial Journey reimagines that idea.
Over the course of approximately one year, your loved one's cremated ashes will travel through every U.S. National Park — from mountains and deserts to forests, islands, coastlines and some of the most remote wilderness in America.
Where scattering is legally permitted and practical, portions of the cremated ashes will become part of those landscapes.
Instead of one final resting place, their final journey becomes America.
Memorials will only be conducted where permitted and where applicable National Park Service requirements, environmental conditions, accessibility and safety allow. Visiting all 63 National Parks does not mean ash scattering will be offered within every park.
The journey is planned to reach all 63 U.S. National Parks — from the wilderness of Alaska to the islands of Hawaii and American Samoa, from the mountains and deserts of the American West to the forests, coastlines and historic landscapes of the East.
Travel will require a combination of road trips, commercial flights, trains, boats and specialized transportation as the journey moves across the United States and its territories.
One loved one. One year. All 63 National Parks.
Throughout the journey, Eternal Legacy Service will carry a U.S. National Parks Passport Book, collecting available park
cancellation stamps as the journey progresses.
At the conclusion of the year-long memorial, the completed Passport Book will be presented to your family along with a custom memorial photo album documenting your loved one's passage through all 63 National Parks.
These aren't simply keepsakes. They become the physical record of a journey your loved one actually made.
Eternal Legacy Service will carry your loved one's cremated ashes on an approximately year-long journey through all 63 U.S. National Parks.
At each National Park where ash scattering is legally permitted and practical, a portion of the cremated ashes will be respectfully scattered at an appropriate location in accordance with applicable requirements. Where scattering cannot legally or practically be performed, your loved one's cremated ashes will still make the journey to the park and that chapter of the journey will be documented.
Your family will be able to follow the journey through real-time tracking and receive an extensive record of this remarkable passage across America, including Scattering Moment videos, GPS locations and professional photographs.
At the conclusion of the journey, your family will also receive the completed U.S. National Parks Passport Book carried throughout the journey and a custom memorial photo album documenting your loved one's passage through all 63 National Parks.
Total Package Price: $149,500
